1. Preheat your oven to 350°F and lightly coat a mini muffin pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2. In a large mixing bowl, combine the cornmeal, flour, baking powder, salt, and sugar, whisking them together.
3. Add the honey, egg, milk, and vegetable oil to the dry ingredients and stir until well blended.
4. Spoon the batter into the muffin cups, filling each one halfway.
5. Place a piece of hot dog into the center of each muffin.
6. Bake in the preheated oven for 20 to 25 minutes until the muffins are golden brown.
7. Let the muffins cool in the pan for about 5 minutes before serving.
