Start by melting your butter in a big pot over low heat. Once it’s liquid gold, toss in the marshmallows and stir until it's smooth and gooey.
Next, stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until every last puff is coated.
Press the sticky mixture into a parchment-lined 9x13 pan. Tip: Grease your hands or a spatula with a little butter to prevent sticking. Pop the pan into the fridge for at least an hour to set.
Once firm, lift the treat slab out using the parchment paper. Place it on a cutting board and slice into squares or rectangles. The size is totally up to you—tiny bites for grazing or bigger chunks for a showstopper.
Melt your red, white, and blue candy melts in separate bowls. Follow the package instructions for a smooth, dippable consistency. Deep bowls make this process easier (and less messy).
Using a piping bag, drizzle red, white, and blue candy melts over each square until fully covered, then sprinkle immediately.
Once all treats are done, let them set completely. You can speed this up by chilling them in the fridge.
