Mini Piggies in a Blanket

Perfectly bite-sized and incredibly easy to make, they’re ideal for parties, game days, or cozy family gatherings. Serve them warm with your favorite dipping sauces for a delicious treat that everyone will love!

Ingredients

  • 1 refrigerated can of croissant dough (with 12 croissants)
  • 24 pre-cooked cocktail sausages
  • 1-2 eggs, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1 tsp poppy seeds (for sprinkling)

Instructions

  • Start by preheating your oven to the temperature indicated on your croissant dough package, usually around 350°F (175°C).
  • Carefully open the can of croissant dough and unroll it. You’ll find 12 delightful triangular pieces waiting to be transformed into mini piggies.
  • Along the perforated lines of the dough triangles, cut to make 24 smaller triangles. This will give you just enough dough to wrap around each little sausage.
  • Take a small triangle of dough, place a cocktail sausage at the wide end, and roll the dough around the sausage. Repeat this step until all sausages are snugly wrapped.
  • In a small bowl, beat the eggs and, using a pastry brush or your fingers, lightly brush each wrapped sausage with the egg wash. This will give them a beautiful golden-brown color once baked.
  • Add a sprinkle of poppy seeds over the top for an extra crunch and a touch of elegance.
  • Place your mini piggies on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, making sure to leave a little space between each one for even baking.
  • Pop the baking sheet in the preheated oven and bake for about 15-18 minutes. Keep an eye on them until they turn golden brown and the dough is cooked through.
  • Once baked, let them cool slightly before serving. Pair with your favorite dipping sauces and watch them disappear!
